L&T Health and Fitness Awarded Navy Federal Fitness Center Contract
Falls Church, VA, 6 February 2004 – L&T Health and Fitness (L&T) has been awarded the contract to manage Navy Federal Credit Union’s 5,000 square foot Schoggen Fitness Center in Vienna, Virginia. Navy Federal, the world's largest credit union, provides financial products and services to over two million Department of the Navy active, retired, reserve, civilian and contractor personnel, and their families.
Navy Federal’s Fitness Center serves over 2600 headquarters employees and it features strength and cardio equipment, free weights and group exercise classes such as Spinning, Yoga, Dance and Step aerobics. The staff coordinates a variety of outdoor activities that include two volleyball courts, a walking trail and bicycles for outdoor cycling. Active Duty for Women and FitTrek group exercise classes are also held outside.
Navy Federal’s Fitness Center staff also coordinates support groups and group activities such as the annual charitable 5K Run/Walk and Marine Corp Marathon Teams and assists the Occupational Health Unit in delivering wellness seminars and Health Resource Fairs.
